In 1996 Hyperion pioneered the first and only truly WALK AWAY preparation of IFA slides with the introduction of the innovative HyPrep™ Plus sample preparation system. Hyperion's newest AUTOMATION tool, the VisiQuant™ microscope, is designed to vastly improve upon the current qualitative, subjective process of reading slides under a microscope in a DARK ROOM. These instruments, combined with Hyperion's innovative, line of VisiQuant™ test kits based on our proprietary, patented La Jolla Blue fluorophores finally create a complete WALK AWAY solution for IFA testing.

On June 4, 2002, Hyperion received FDA clearance for the first of these kits,
