Altar Servers
Students in grades five through twelve are encouraged to participate in the role of altar server by assisting the priests in the celebration of the liturgy.

Annulment Advocates
A confidential, healing ministry which assists parishioners in preparing annulment cases which will be presented to the Archdiocese of Miami Marriage Tribunal.

Baptismal Preparation
The parents and godparents of are required by the Archdiocese of Miami to attend a special preparation classes prior to the reception of Baptism. Pre-registration is required. Baptismal preparation classes is held the first Sunday of each month at 8:30 a.m. in the conference room.  more info

Bereavement Committee
This committee attends the wakes and funeral services of parishioners and their loved ones.

Blood Drive
Each quarter during the year, parish and community members have an opportunity to show their concern for their neighbors by giving blood.

Carnival
Our annual carnival is one of Saint Rose of Lima's major fund raisers each year. Through the dedicated volunteer services of our parishioners, the carnival raises much needed funds and reinforces the significant effect community participation plays in our parish life.

Child Care
Child care for children under the age of five is provided on Sunday mornings during the 8:30am and 10:00am Mass in the school kindergarten classroom.

Coffee and Donuts
Following the 9:00am Mass each Sunday from September - May, coffee and donuts are served on the east patio of the church. This provides an excellent opportunity to meet and greet fellow parishioners.

Development
Our development ministry is responsible for assisting the school and parish administration in providing for the future financial security for both the school and the parish. The development program is responsible for acquiring corporate sponsorship of school and parish programs and holding major fund raising activities during the course of each calendar year.

Eucharistic Ministers
The Eucharist is brought to our homebound parishioners on a weekly basis by commissioned Eucharistic Ministers. These ministers are also commissioned to assist in the distribution of communion during Mass.

Home-School Association
The official parental organization of our school which serves as a support for the parents and teachers of Saint Rose of Lima School. All school parents are urged to become active members of this organization and support its functions. Boards members are elected to two year terms.

Lectors prepare, reflect and proclaim the Word of the Lord at parish liturgies.

The main function of this world-wide organization is the visitation of inactive Catholic within our parish.

Marriage Preparation
Two important programs for marriage preparation in our parish which are required by the Archdiocese prior to receiving the Sacrament of Marriage. The focus program involves a trained facilitating couple meeting with an engaged couple to help determine areas of compatibility as well as possible areas of conflict. The pre-cana program is a two-day weekend workshop that prepares engaged couples for marriage by exploring communication skills, financial matters, sexuality, values and the sacramentality of marriage. Pre-Cana is offered twice a year at Saint Rose of Lima Parish.    more info

Our parish has a youth choir, adult choir and a Spanish choir.

All information to be included in our weekly parish Bulletin should be submitted to the Parish Office before 5:00pm on Monday for publication the following Sunday. Pastoral Council
The pastoral council serves as the main advisory board to the pastor. The council sets parish goals and is involved in long-range planning. Members of the organization include the pastor and the heads of the various parish ministries.

R.C.I.A. Program
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.) is a process for adults desiring a faith journey which leads to the Catholic Church. Members of our parish help to facilitate this journey of faith with these adults.

Religious Education (C.C.D.)
Formal religious instruction is offered each week for students who attend public and non-Catholic private schools. Classes for grades 1-6 are held Sunday mornings from 9:30am - 10:45am. Confirmation preparation classes for junior and high school students are held on Tuesday evening from 7:00pm - 8:15pm.

Respect Life
This committee supports the Archdiocesan Respect Life Office and contributes clothing and furniture to the respect life program.

Saint Rose of Lima Parish sponsors scouting programs for both boys and girls from ages 7 - 13.

Spanish Charismatic Prayer Group
This prayer group meets each Friday evening in the Church chapel at 7:30pm.

Ushers
These individuals assist during liturgical celebrations by greeting parishioners, distributing bulletins, organizing the presentation of the gifts, taking up collections, and providing appropriate seating.

Women's Club
The goal of our parish women's club is to unite the women of the parish in a spirit of friendship and service to our community.

Young at Heart
Senior members of our parish are provided a chance to socialize. Activities such as games, covered dish luncheons, holiday celebrations and monthly meetings help to promote and encourage the social life of our senior citizens.
