Enclosed in this week’s communication folder are child safety tips from the Miami Shores Police Department. Please review them carefully with your child. Last week there were incidents involving two of our students who were approached by strangers in cars Please be sure to read, sign and return special permission slip to let us know how and with whom your child will be going home on Grandparents’ Day. No student will be permitted to leave with anyone other than parent unless we have received signed permission form with this information On Friday, March 16th -GRANDPARENTS’ DAY- there will be a 12:00 Noon dismissal. Since the cafeteria will be closed for lunch service. Students going to After School Care on that day need to bring a bag lunch. A snack will be served at 3:30 PM as usual

Special thanks, too, to all our teachers and parent volunteers whose presence and assistance helped everything to run smoothly! …to Mr. And Mrs. Rudy Ambra for all the paper and envelopes recently donated to school! …to Mrs. Mary Jo Froehlich for all the recycled paper she had donated to the school office! v Page 1….Students should enter the school building at 7:45am. The warning bell rings at 7:55am. Morning prayers, flag salute, and the day’s announcements follow the 8:00am bell. v Page 1…. No students may remain on school grounds unsupervised. v Page 4…. Boys in Grades K-6: White or blue short-sleeved monogrammed shirt tucked into belted navy blue trousers. v Page 4…. Boys in Grades 7-8: White or blue oxford shirt with monogram tucked into belted navy blue trousers. v Page 4…. Girls K-8: Uniform jumper or navy skort no shorter than 2 inches above the knee v Page 5…. Heel heights on shoes may not be more than 1 1/2 inches. v Page 6…. No jewelry (rings, chain necklaces, bracelets, etc.) is to be worn to school by boys or girls. v Page 6…. Girls may wear small post earrings, but no dangling earrings are allowed. Make-up of any kind is not worn in school. No nail polish, except colorless or clear, may be worn. v Page 6…Coloring and tinting of students’ hair is not allowed.
