Sacraments

Anointing of the Sick

This Sacrament of Healing is available to those who are seriously ill. Please contact the Parish Office at (305) 758-0539 to make arrangements for a priest to administer this Sacrament.

Baptism

Baptisms are celebrated on the third Sunday of each month immediately following the 11:00am Mass in the Church Chapel. Baptismal preparation class, a requirement for the parents and godparents before the Baptism of a child, is held on the first Sunday of each month at 8:30am in the conference room. Special classes and arrangements must be made for children above the age of four as well as for adults. Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation is administered by either the Bishop or the Archbishop at Saint Rose of Lima Parish during the Spring of each year. Teenage students must be enrolled in at least two consecutive years of religious education classes before receiving this Sacrament. Additional details regarding Teenage Confirmation are available by calling (305) 757-6434. Adult Confirmation is celebrated in conjunction with teen Confirmation. Matrimony

Marriages at Saint Rose of Lima Church must be scheduled at least six months in advance of the planned date. This minimum period allows for the completion of necessary documents, marriage programs and the Pre-Cana weekend. Please contact one of the parish priests at (305) 758-0539 for more information or to begin the process of marriage preparation.

Reconciliation

This Sacrament is celebrated each weekend in our church on Saturdays from 4:30pm-4:50pm and on Sundays before the 11:00am Mass. A communal celebration of the Sacrament with individual confessions is held twice a year - once during Lent and again at Advent. If special arrangements must be made for your confession to be heard, please contact the Parish Office at (305) 758-0539.
